Software Support

We provide a library for the Angle 10 Click as well as a demo application (example), developed using MikroElektronika compilers. The demo can run on all the main MikroElektronika development boards.

Package can be downloaded/installed directly from NECTO Studio Package Manager(recommended way), downloaded from our LibStock™ or found on Mikroe github account.

Library Description

This library contains API for Angle 10 Click driver.

Standard key functions :

Example key functions :

  • angle10_read_voltage This function reads raw ADC value and converts it to proportional voltage level.
    err_t angle10_read_voltage ( angle10_t *ctx, float *voltage );
  • angle10_get_angle This function reads the magnetic angular position in degrees based on ANGLE10_NUM_CONVERSIONS of voltage measurements.
    err_t angle10_get_angle ( angle10_t *ctx, float *angle );
  • angle10_set_vref This function sets the voltage reference for Angle 10 click driver.
    err_t angle10_set_vref ( angle10_t *ctx, float vref );

Example Description

This example demonstrates the use of Angle 10 click board by reading and displaying the magnet's angular position in degrees and analog voltage output.

The demo application is composed of two sections :

Application Init

Initializes the driver and logger.

void application_init ( void )
{
log_cfg_t log_cfg;
angle10_cfg_t angle10_cfg;
LOG_MAP_USB_UART( log_cfg );
log_init( &logger, &log_cfg );
log_info( &logger, " Application Init " );
// Click initialization.
angle10_cfg_setup( &angle10_cfg );
ANGLE10_MAP_MIKROBUS( angle10_cfg, MIKROBUS_1 );
if ( ADC_ERROR == angle10_init( &angle10, &angle10_cfg ) )
{
log_error( &logger, " Communication init." );
for ( ; ; );
}
log_info( &logger, " Application Task " );
}

Application Task

Reads the magnet's angular position in degrees and analog voltage output and displays the results on the USB UART approximately every 500ms.

void application_task ( void )
{
float voltage, angle;
if ( ANGLE10_OK == angle10_read_voltage ( &angle10, &voltage ) )
{
log_printf( &logger, " AN Voltage : %.3f V\r\n", voltage );
}
if ( ANGLE10_OK == angle10_get_angle ( &angle10, &angle ) )
{
log_printf ( &logger, " Angle: %.2f Degrees\r\n\n", angle );
}
Delay_ms( 500 );
}

The full application code, and ready to use projects can be installed directly from NECTO Studio Package Manager(recommended way), downloaded from our LibStock™ or found on Mikroe github account.

Other Mikroe Libraries used in the example:

  • MikroSDK.Board
  • MikroSDK.Log
  • Click.Angle10

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART click, USB UART 2 Click or RS232 Click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. UART terminal is available in all MikroElektronika compilers.
