This project reads from a microSD card an external resources file generated by Visual TFT and writes data to an Atmel AT45DBxx SPI Serial Flash memory device.
Supported devices are AT45DB16 (2 MBytes) and AT45DB32 (4 MBytes) which have a page size of 512 bytes which is just equal to microSD sector size.

Example Blog

Hello to all friends of the Libstock community!

With this example now you can write the External Resources data of Visual TFT to an Atmel AT45DBxx Serial Flash memory, so you are free to use in your project a microSD card as you like!

For this example I used an EasyPIC7 dev board equipped with a PIC18F46K22, but also an original PIC18F45K22 is OK.

In conjuction with this example project I made two new custom Hardware Patterns for Visual TFT.
With both of them you can use a "TFT Proto Board" with an "EasyPIC v7" equipped with a "PIC18F46K22", but:
- the first pattern (named "EasyPIC7_MMC") reads External Resources from an MMC (tipically a microSD card);
- the second pattern (named "EasyPIC7_AT45DB") reads External Resources from an "Atmel AT45DBxx Serial Flash" memory device.

You can find my updated Boards.xml file (for use with Visual TFT) at this MikroE forum page:

PIC32MZ - FLASH LIKE A EEPROM

I wrote this example to show on EASYPIC FUSION V7 with MCU PIC32MZ ETH CARD (PIC32MZ2048ECH144), the theory of using Program Flash as a typical PIC18F EEPROM. Important note: in the example the data in memory is extracted from the flash and stored in a variable "NVM1" or "NVM2" of type "int". If you want to extract 8-bit data, substitute the command: NVM1 = *(int*)(0x9D1FFFE0); with NVM1 = *(char*)(0x9D1FFFE0);
