GENERAL INFORMATION

ABOUT ME

I am a retired business person who is doing art, mainly portraits. I did get interested in doing a fake fresco on a ceiling that is a sky scene under white light with an horizon, sky, clouds and angels in a very baroque style. After a couple of seconds the white light fades using a changing PWM on white LED's and UV LED's turn on, illuminating a Hubble-type star scene in gow-in-the-dark paints. On the basis of this description I have two requests for more frescos: fireworks and lightning, both on a sky that fades from day to night.
My skills in electronics is extremely limited and I need someone to take me by the hand and lead me through the design stage.
Does anyone read these profiles? I couldn't put in my correct birthdate which is 27 Feb 1944. Or maybe an administrator can correct this.

AREA OF EXPERTISE

SKILLS

I retired on the income from four apartment buildings and turned out to be a good carpenter, landscaper and worker in intricate concrete. My current project (though put aside for Chicago winters) is a backyard with the theme of "Atlantis." Handmade tiles with a blue glitter surface reflect the light from a school of fish with internal LED's hanging from the 10 foot high vine-covered trellis work that represents the ocean surface. The circle of reflection from the glitter that surrounds your feet moves with you, like the scenes in "Avatar" in the forest when their footsteps light up the plants around their feet. At the edges of the backyard there are colored castings of coral reef plants, corals and sponges that light up with LED's. The chimney on the barbeque pit is an open mouthed dragon with blinking red, yellow and orange LED's that light up the smoke coming from its mouth.
Just recently I started teaching myself about electronics to bring my ideas to life and know very little about PIC's, so I need lots of help.
