Library Description

The library covers all the necessary functions to control Unique ID click board. Library performs the communication with the device via 1-Wire protocol by writing to registers and by reading from registers. The library has the function for reading sensor registration number: family code, serial number & CRC tester data.

Key functions:

  • uniqueid_gpioDriverInit( (T_UNIQUEID_P)&_MIKROBUS1_GPIO ) - Function initializes GPIO driver for the desired MIKROBUS1.

Examples description

The application is composed of three sections:

  • System Initialization - Initializes LOG structures and start to write log.
  • Application Initialization -  Initialization driver enables - GPIO, start One Wire communication also, write log.
  • Application Task - (code snippet) This is an example which demonstrates the use of Unique ID click board. Unique ID click communicates with register via One Wire by the read from the register, and display DS2401 enhanced silicon serial number IC data. Results are being sent to the Usart Terminal where you can track their changes. All data logs write on USB uart changes for every 1 sec.
void applicationTask()
{
    uniqueid__getSensorInfo();
    mikrobus_logWrite( " Family : ", _LOG_TEXT );
    WordToStr( family, logText );
    ltrim( logText );
    mikrobus_logWrite( logText, _LOG_LINE );
    mikrobus_logWrite( " ID Hex.: ", _LOG_TEXT );

    for ( cnt = 0; cnt < 6; cnt++ )
    {
        ByteToHex( buffer[ cnt ], logText );
        ltrim( logText );
        mikrobus_logWrite( logText, _LOG_TEXT );
    }

    mikrobus_logWrite( " ", _LOG_LINE );
    LongToStr( uniqueId, logText );
    ltrim( logText );
    mikrobus_logWrite( " ID Dec.: ", _LOG_TEXT );
    mikrobus_logWrite( logText, _LOG_LINE );

    mikrobus_logWrite( " CRC    : ", _LOG_TEXT );
    WordToStr( crc, logText );
    ltrim( logText );
    mikrobus_logWrite( logText, _LOG_LINE );
    mikrobus_logWrite( "-----------------------", _LOG_LINE );

    Delay_ms( 5000 );
}

Additional Functions :

  • void uniqueid_oneWireReset() - One_Wire generic reset function.
  • void uniqueid_oneWireWrite(uint8_t writeByte) - One_Wire generic write the byte of the data function.
  • uint8_t uniqueid_oneWireRead() - One_Wire generic read the byte of the data function.
  • void uniqueid__getSensorInfo() - Read sensor registration number: family code, serial number & CRC tester data.

Other mikroE Libraries used in the example:

  • One_Wire
  • UART
  • Conversion

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message

Temp&Hum 20 Click is a compact add-on board that represents temperature and humidity sensing solution. This board features the CC2D23, a highly accurate, fully-calibrated relative humidity and temperature sensor from Amphenol. This sensor, characterized by its high accuracy (±2% from 20% to 80%RH (±3% over entire humidity range)) and high resolution, provides factory-calibrated 14-bit data to the host controller with a configurable I2C interface. It also comes with alarm features for preset control at a minimum and maximum humidity.

10DOF click board carries two modules from Bosch: BNO055, a 9-axis absolute orientation sensor and BMP180, a digital pressure sensor. 10DOF click communicates with the target board MCU through the mikroBUS I2C interface (SCL, SDA), with additional functionality provided by INT and RST pins. Designed to use a 3.3V power supply only.
