My project is I2C LCD 16x2, 20x2, 20x4.
I have tested the code with these I2C LCDs and also I have used the below mentioned I2C LCD module with HD44780 or compatible LCDs and they work fine. See comments

I captured I2C data on my Saleae Logic 16 and evrythings seems normal and it is working in hardware. I compiled the PIC project for PIC18F46K22 and tested on EasyPIC v7 development board.
