A real time clock with AT89S51 and the classic 555 timer IC. The 555 timer IC has a good reputation as a time-keeper. Irrespective of voltage variations of the timer IC, the frequency output from it remains constant. Temperature variations also don't affect timings much.

LV-MaxSonar-EZ0 SONAR

LVMax-EZ0 SONAR serial communication mode test with ATTiny2313V. *Note: LV-Max ER0's datasheet specifies that a logic level converter cum inverter like the popular MAX232 will be needed to extract the serial data from the sonar sensor. I used 74LS04 instead for the same task. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mofzjSlc49Y
