Library Description

The library covers all the necessary functions to control 2x20W Amp Click board.
Library have drivers for set volume lvl, enable and disable amplifier function, set mode ( MUTE or PLAY ) function, increase or decrease the volume by one level, set filterless output modulation and set classic PWM output modulation function.

Key functions:

  • void c2x20wamp_setVolume( uint8_t volume ) - Set volume of the amplifier function.
  • void c2x20wamp_volumeUp() - Increase the volume by one level function.
  • void c2x20wamp_volumeDown() - Decrease the volume by one level function.

Examples description

The application is composed of the three sections :

  • System Initialization - Initializes GPIO, I2C and LOG structures,
         sets INT and PWM pins as input and sets RST and CS pins as output.
  •  Application Initialization - Initialization driver enable's - I2C,
         start write log and enable amplifire of 2x20W Amp Click board.
  •  Application Task - (code snippet) This is a example which demonstrates the use of 2x20W Amp Click board. This examples first activates operation mode PLAY and set volume lvl 32 ( 50% ), after that, we increase the volume level one level ten times for 5 seconds and we decrease the volume level one level ten times for 5 seconds. And finally, we set MUTE mode for next 5 seconds.
    Results are being sent to the Usart Terminal where you can track their changes.
void applicationTask()
{
    mikrobus_logWrite( " PLAY MODE ", _LOG_LINE );
    c2x20wamp_modePlay();

    mikrobus_logWrite( "-----------------------", _LOG_LINE );
    mikrobus_logWrite( " Set Volume lvl : 32 ", _LOG_LINE );
    c2x20wamp_setVolume( 32 );

    mikrobus_logWrite( "- - - - - - - - - - - -", _LOG_LINE );
    Delay_ms( 5000 );

    for ( cnt = 0; cnt < 10; cnt++ )
    {
        mikrobus_logWrite( " Volume Up ", _LOG_LINE );
        c2x20wamp_volumeUp();
        Delay_ms( 100 );
    }

    mikrobus_logWrite( "- - - - - - - - - - - -", _LOG_LINE );
    Delay_ms( 5000 );

    for ( cnt = 0; cnt < 10; cnt++ )
    {
        mikrobus_logWrite( " Volume Down ", _LOG_LINE );
        c2x20wamp_volumeDown();
        Delay_ms( 100 );
    }

    mikrobus_logWrite( "-----------------------", _LOG_LINE );
    Delay_ms( 5000 );

    mikrobus_logWrite( " MUTE MODE ", _LOG_LINE );
    c2x20wamp_modeMute();
    mikrobus_logWrite( "-----------------------", _LOG_LINE );
    Delay_ms( 5000 );
}

  • I2C
  • UART

Additional notes and information

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.

Slider Click

Slider Click features a mechanical slide action potentiometer - a slider, which gives a nice feeling when actuating, along with 16 SMD LEDs, that can be used for any kind of visual feedback. The onboard high-resolution 22-bit ADC can detect even the smallest move, faithfully capturing the smoothness of the slider movement, while digitizing its position. The 16 onboard SMD LEDs can give a nice visual feedback of the slider position, but those LEDs can also be used for other purposes since they are not hardwired to the slider.
