Library Description

The library initializes and defines the I2C or SPI bus driver and drivers that offer a choice for writing data in register and reads data form register. The library includes function for read Pressure data in mBar and Temperature data in C. The user also has the function for update all calibration coefficients, function for software reset, read Interrupt state and functions for get Pressure and Temperature raw data.

Key functions:

  • float pressure5_getTemperatureData() - Temperature data in C.
  • float pressure5_getPressureData() - Pressure data in mBar.
  • void pressure5_updateCoefficient() - Update calibration coefficients.

Examples description

The application is composed of the three sections :

  • System Initialization - Initializes I2C or SPI module, sets INT pin as INPUT and CS pin as OUTPUT.
  • Application Initialization - Initialization driver init, test comunication, software reset, update coefficient and configuration module for start measurement.
  • Application Task - Reads Pressure data in [mBar] and Temperature data in [C]. Logs all data to the USBUART every 1500ms.
void applicationTask()
{
    float Temperature;
    float Pressure;
    char demoText[ 50 ] = {0};

    Temperature = pressure5_getTemperatureData();
    FloatToStr(Temperature, demoText);
    mikrobus_logWrite(" Temperature: ", _LOG_TEXT);
    mikrobus_logWrite(demoText, _LOG_TEXT);
    mikrobus_logWrite(" C", _LOG_LINE);

    Pressure = pressure5_getPressureData();
    FloatToStr(Pressure, demoText);
    mikrobus_logWrite(" Pressure: ", _LOG_TEXT);
    mikrobus_logWrite(demoText, _LOG_TEXT);
    mikrobus_logWrite(" mBar ", _LOG_LINE);

    mikrobus_logWrite("--------------------------", _LOG_LINE);
    Delay_ms( 1500 );
}

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.

PIR Click

0

PIR Click is a pyroelectric sensor which generates a voltage when exposed to infrared radiation emitted by live bodies. It is equipped with the PL-N823-01, an infrared sensor from KEMET that uses the pyrolectric effect of ceramic by absorbing infrared rays emitted from the human body, while the the white plastic Fresnel lens covering the sensor filters visible light.

Stretch click

10

Stretch click is a mikroBUS add-on board with circuitry for measuring stretch forces with conductive rubber cords. The click has screw terminals for connecting 2mm-diameter and 1m-long conductive rubber cord. The resistance of the chord increases when stretched, impacting the voltage available on the AN pin.
