This is an 8 channel thermometer based on MCP3008 eight channel 10 bit ADC and ATMega8515. MCP3004 and MCP3008 both relies SPI communication for communication with host microcontroller. Here ATMega8515's hardware SPI module is used to communicate with a MCP3008 ADC. The ADC is connected with eight LM35 temperature sensors.

This demo shows how we can estimate AC line frequency while measuring RMS voltage. This method is a very crude one but it can be improved with some changes. The concept here is to count the low-to-high and high-to-low transitions around half VCC during RMS measurement. The code is written with CCS PIC C compiler.
