Library Description

The library covers all the necessary functions to control Pressure 3 Click board. Library performs the communication with the device via I2C or SPI driver by writing to registers and by reading from registers. The library has generic write and reads function, get measurements function, get the temperature and pressure data from the register, the function for reading factory calibration, for sets configuration, etc. Function who gets temperature and pressure also read factory calibration and converts temperature data to degree Celsius [ °C ] and pressure value to mbar .

Key functions:

  • void pressure3_getTemperaturePressure( float *temperature, float *presure ) - Get the Temperature and Pressure value function.
  • void pressure3_softReset() - Soft reset function.
  • void pressure3_setOperatingMode( uint8_t operationMode ) - Set the sensor operating mode function.

Examples description

The application is composed of three sections:

  • System Initialization - Initializes GPIO, I2C or SPI, and LOG structures, sets INT pins as input, CS pin as output and start to write log.
  • Application Initialization -  Initialization driver enables - I2C or SPI, set default configuration and start to write log.
  • Application Task - (code snippet) This is an example which demonstrates the use of Pressure 3 Click board. Measured pressure and temperature data from the DPS310 sensor on Pressure 3 click board. Results are being sent to the Usart Terminal where you can track their changes. All data logs write on usb uart changes for every 3 sec.
void applicationTask()
{
    pressure3_getTemperaturePressure( &temperature, &pressure );

    mikrobus_logWrite( " Pressure   : ", _LOG_TEXT );
    FloatToStr( pressure, logText );
    mikrobus_logWrite( logText, _LOG_TEXT );
    mikrobus_logWrite( " mbar", _LOG_LINE );

    mikrobus_logWrite( " Temperature: ", _LOG_TEXT );
    FloatToStr( temperature, logText );
    mikrobus_logWrite( logText, _LOG_TEXT );
    mikrobus_logWrite( degCel, _LOG_LINE );
    mikrobus_logWrite( "----------------------------", _LOG_LINE );

    Delay_1sec();

}

Other mikroE Libraries used in the example:

  • SPI or I2C
  • UART
  • Conversion

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message

MRAM 3 Click is a compact add-on board representing a magneto-resistive random-access memory solution. This board features the AS3001204, 1Mb high-performance serial SPI MRAM memory organized as 128K words of 8 bits each from Avalanche Technology. The MRAM technology is analog to Flash technology with SRAM compatible read/write timings (Persistent SRAM, P-SRAM), where data is always non-volatile. It also has a hardware write-protection feature and performs read and write operations with data retention for one million years and a write endurance of 1014 cycles.

I2C to CAN Click

0

I2C to CAN Click is a compact add-on board that contains I2C to CAN-physical transceiver, which extends a single-master I2C bus through harsh or noisy environments. This board features the LT3960, a robust high-speed transceiver that extends a single-master I2C bus up to 400kbps using the CAN-physical layer from Analog Devices. One LT3960 from SCL and SDA I2C lines creates equivalent differential buses (CAN) on two twisted pairs, while the second LT3960 recreates the I2C bus locally for any slave I2C devices on the other end of the twisted pairs. A built-in 3.3V LDO powers both the I2C and CAN lines from a single input supply from 4V to 60V. This Click board™ is suitable for industrial and automotive networking, remote sensor applications, and more.
