Library Description

The library initializes and defines the I2C bus driver and drivers that offer a choice for reads data form register. The library includes function for read Temperature and Relative Huminidy data and function for read device ID, Manifactures ID and Serial ID data. The user also has the function for configuration chip for measurement.

Key functions:

  • void temphum11_configuration(uint16_t config) - Functions for configuration device for measurement.
  • float temphum11_getTemperature(uint8_t tempIn) - Functions for read Temperature data.
  • float temphum11_getHumidity() - Functions for read Relative Huminidy data.

Examples description

The application is composed of the three sections :

  • System Initialization - Initialization I2C module.
  • Application Initialization - Initializes driver init, test comunication and configuration chip for measurement.
  • Application Task - Reads Temperature and Humidity data. This data logs to USBUART every 1500ms.
void applicationTask()
{
    float Temperature;
    float Humidity;
    char demoText[ 50 ];

    Temperature = temphum11_getTemperature(_TEMPHUM11_TEMP_IN_CELSIUS);

    FloatToStr(Temperature, demoText);
    mikrobus_logWrite(" Temperature : ", _LOG_TEXT);
    mikrobus_logWrite(demoText, _LOG_LINE);

    Humidity = temphum11_getHumidity();

    FloatToStr(Humidity, demoText);
    mikrobus_logWrite(" Humidity : ", _LOG_TEXT);
    mikrobus_logWrite(demoText, _LOG_LINE);

    mikrobus_logWrite("-----------------", _LOG_LINE);
    Delay_ms( 1500 );
}

Other mikroE Libraries used in the example:

  • I2C
  • UART
  • Conversions

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.

V to Hz Click

0

V to HZ Click is a device that converts an analog voltage input signal into a pulse wave signal of a certain frequency. It has a linear response, so applying a voltage in a range of 0 to 5V on its input, will result in generating the pulse train with frequency linearly proportional to the input voltage.

Hall Current 15 Click

0

Hall Current 15 Click is a compact add-on board that provides precise AC or DC current-sensing solution. This board features the TMCS1101-Q1, a galvanically isolated Hall-effect current sensor capable of DC or AC current measurement with high accuracy, excellent linearity, and temperature stability from Texas Instruments. A low-drift, temperature-compensated signal chain provides <1.5% full-scale error across a broad operating temperature range. It also provides a reliable 600V lifetime working voltage and 3kVRMS isolation between the current path and circuitry with uni/bidirectional current sensing. Besides, the user is allowed to process the output signal in analog or digital form.

nvSRAM 2 Click

0

nvSRAM 2 Click is a compact add-on board that contains the most reliable nonvolatile memory. This board features the CY14B101Q, a 1Mbit nvSRAM organized as 128K words of 8 bits each with a nonvolatile element in each memory cell from Cypress Semiconductor. The embedded nonvolatile elements incorporate the QuantumTrap technology and provide highly reliable nonvolatile storage of data. Data transfer, initiated by the user through SPI commands, from SRAM to the nonvolatile elements takes place automatically at Power-Down. On the other hand, during the Power-Up, data is restored to the SRAM from the nonvolatile memory. This Click board™ is suitable for all applications that require fast access and high reliability of stored data, and unlimited endurance.
