Software Support

We provide a library for the Pressure12 Click as well as a demo application (example), developed using MikroElektronika compilers. The demo can run on all the main MikroElektronika development boards.

Package can be downloaded/installed directly form compilers IDE(recommended way), or downloaded from our LibStock, or found on mikroE github account.

Library Description

This library contains API for Pressure12 Click driver.

Standard key functions :

  • Config Object Initialization function.

    void pressure12_cfg_setup ( pressure12_cfg_t *cfg );

  • Initialization function.

    PRESSURE12_RETVAL pressure12_init ( pressure12_t ctx, pressure12_cfg_t cfg );

  • Click Default Configuration function.

    void pressure12_default_cfg ( pressure12_t *ctx );

Example key functions :

  • Get pressure function.

    float pressure12_get_pressure ( pressure12_t *ctx );

  • Get voltage function.

    float pressure12_get_voltage ( pressure12_t *ctx );

  • Set ADC resolution function.

    void pressure12_set_adc_resolution ( pressure12_t *ctx, float adc_res );

Examples Description

Reads ADC value, convert ADC data to Voltage[ mV ] and pressure [ mBar ].

The demo application is composed of two sections :

Application Init

Initializes ADC and LOG for logging data.

void application_init ( void )
{
    log_cfg_t log_cfg;
    pressure12_cfg_t cfg;

    /**
     * Logger initialization.
     * Default baud rate: 115200
     * Default log level: LOG_LEVEL_DEBUG
     * @note If USB_UART_RX and USB_UART_TX
     * are defined as HAL_PIN_NC, you will
     * need to define them manually for log to work.
     * See @b LOG_MAP_USB_UART macro definition for detailed explanation.
     */
    LOG_MAP_USB_UART( log_cfg );
    log_init( &logger, &log_cfg );
    log_info( &logger, "---- Application Init ----" );

    //  Click initialization.

    pressure12_cfg_setup( &cfg );
    PRESSURE12_MAP_MIKROBUS( cfg, MIKROBUS_1 );
    if ( pressure12_init( &pressure12, &cfg ) == ADC_ERROR )
    {
        log_info( &logger, "---- Application Init Error ----" );
        log_info( &logger, "---- Please, run program again ----" );

        for ( ; ; );
    }
    log_info( &logger, "---- Application Init Done ----\r\n" );

    pressure_val = 0;
    voltage_val = 0;
}

Application Task

Reads ADC value, convert ADC data to Voltage[ mV ] on the AN pin and convert to Pressure data in mBar. All data logs to the USBUART each second.

void application_task ( void )
{
    if ( pressure12_read_pin_voltage( &pressure12, &voltage_val ) != ADC_ERROR )
    {
        log_printf( &logger, " Voltage [V] : %.2f\r\n", voltage_val );
    }

    if ( pressure12_get_pressure( &pressure12, &pressure_val ) != ADC_ERROR )
    {
        log_printf( &logger, " Pressure [mBar] : %u\r\n", pressure_val );
    }

    log_printf( &logger, "-----------------------------\r\n" );
    Delay_ms ( 1000 );
}

NOTE

Output is proportional to the difference between applied pressure and atmospheric (ambient) pressure.

The full application code, and ready to use projects can be installed directly form compilers IDE(recommneded) or found on LibStock page or mikroE GitHub accaunt.

Other mikroE Libraries used in the example:

  • MikroSDK.Board
  • MikroSDK.Log
  • Click.Pressure12

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART Click, USB UART 2 Click or RS232 Click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all Mikroelektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.

Stepper 24 Click is a compact add-on board designed to drive small stepping motors in consumer electronics and industrial equipment applications. This board features the TB67S589FTG, a BiCD constant-current 2-phase bipolar stepping motor driver IC from Toshiba Semiconductor. Key features include a PWM chopper-type 2-phase bipolar drive system, high withstand voltage of up to 34V operating, and a maximum operating current of 2.7A per phase. The board also integrates safety mechanisms such as over-temperature, over-current, and low-supply voltage detection. Additional control is provided by the PCA9555A port expander via I2C, enabling functions like decay and torque modes, step resolution settings, and many more.

Temp&Hum 24 Click is a compact add-on board that measures the surrounding environment's humidity and temperature. This board features the HDC3021, an integrated capacitive-based relative humidity and temperature sensor with a removable tape cover from Texas Instruments. The HDC3021 is characterized by its high accuracy (±0.5%RH and ±0.1°C over a wide operating temperature range) and high resolution, providing 16-bit data to the host controller with a configurable I2C interface. Offset Error Correction reduces RH sensor offset due to aging, exposure to extreme operating conditions, and contaminants to return the device to within accuracy specifications.
