Library Description

The library covers all the necessary functions to control Ozone Click board. Ozone click communicates with the target board via SPI by reading raw digital ADC value from MCP3201 chip. This library contains drivers for read ADC value and for calculate measurement of PPB concentration of Ozon in air.

Key functions:

  • uint16_t ozone_getMeasurement() - Get the ozone measurement function.
  • float ozone_calcOzonePPB() - Calculate concentration of Ozone function.

Examples description

The application is composed of the three sections :

  • System Initialization - Initializes GPIO, SPI and LOG structures and sets CS pin as output.
  • Application Initialization - Initialization driver enable's - SPI and start write log.
  • Application Task - (code snippet) This is a example which demonstrates the use of Ozone Click board. Ozone Click communicates with register via SPI by reading raw digital ADC value and calculate measurement of concentration of Ozon PPB value in the air.
    Results are being sent to the Usart Terminal where you can track their changes.
    All data logs write on usb uart changes for every 1 sec.
void applicationTask()
{
    readValue = ozone_getMeasurement();
    Delay_100ms();
    ozonePPB = ozone_calcOzonePPB();
    Delay_100ms();

    IntToStr( readValue, logText );
    ltrim( logText );
    mikrobus_logWrite( " Read Value: ", _LOG_TEXT );
    mikrobus_logWrite( logText, _LOG_LINE );

    FloatToStr( ozonePPB, logText );
    ltrim( logText );
    mikrobus_logWrite( " Ozone PPB : ", _LOG_TEXT );
    mikrobus_logWrite( logText, _LOG_LINE );
    mikrobus_logWrite( "----------------------", _LOG_LINE );
    Delay_1sec();
}

Additional notes and information

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.

Ambient 22 Click is a compact add-on board that measures the intensity of visible light. This board features the OPT3005, a single-chip lux meter from Texas Instruments that transforms light intensity to a digital signal output that can be directly communicated via an I2C interface. The sensor's spectral response tightly matches the human eye's photopic response along with extreme rejection to 850nm and 940nm infrared light over a wide angle of incidence. Measurements can be made from 20mlux up to 166klux without manually selecting full-scale ranges using the built-in, full-scale setting feature.
