Library Description

The library covers all the necessary functions to control LED Flash click board. LED Flash click
communicates with the target board through the AN, RST, PWM and INT line. This library
offers functions for turning on or off torch and flash mode as well as charging of the supercapacitor.
It also allow the user to check flash ready flag.

Key functions:

  • void ledflash_charSupcapEnable() -  Function enables charging of the supercapacitor.
  • void ledflash_flashEnable()-   Function enables flash.
  • uint8_t ledflash_flashRdyFlag() -   Functions checks the flash ready flag.

Examples Description

The application is composed of three sections:

  • System Initialization - Initializes GPIO and LOG structures, sets AN, RST, PWM pins as output and INT pin as input.
  • Application Initialization - Initialization driver enables GPIO, starts write log and issues a warning.
  • Application Task - (code snippet)This example demonstrates the use of LED Flash Click board by flashing with LEDs when ever supercapacitor is at a full voltage.
void applicationTask()
{
    uint8_t state;

    mikrobus_logWrite( " Charge Supercapacitor Enable ", _LOG_LINE );
    ledflash_charSupcapEnable();
    Delay_ms( 1000 );
    state = ledflash_flashRdyFlag();

     if( state == 0 )
    {
        mikrobus_logWrite( " Flash ON! ", _LOG_LINE );
        ledflash_flashEnable();
    }
    else
    {
        mikrobus_logWrite( " Flash OFF! ", _LOG_LINE );
        ledflash_flashDisable();
}
    mikrobus_logWrite( "----------------------------------", _LOG_LINE );
}

Other mikroE Libraries used in the example:

  • GPIO
  • UART

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message
