Library Description

This library provides basic functionality for reading the current value and controlling the Click board.

Key functions:

void hallcurrent2_reset() - Function for reseting the click board sensor.

int16_t hallcurrent2_getData() - Function that returns the 12bit digital value.

int16_t hallcurrent2_getCurrent() - Function that returns the current value.

Examples Description

The application is composed of three sections:

  • System Initialization - Initializes I2C module and INT pin as INPUT and RST pin as OUTPUT.
  • Application Initialization -  Initializes Driver init and reset chip.
  • Application Task - (code snippet) - Reads current and logs on usbuart every 1 second.
    It was tested with 1V voltage at the input and with a load of 1 - 2A.
void applicationTask()
{
 CurrentData = hallcurrent2_getCurrent();
 IntToStr(CurrentData, text);
 mikrobus_logWrite("--- Current :", _LOG_TEXT);
 mikrobus_logWrite(text, _LOG_TEXT);
 mikrobus_logWrite(" mA", _LOG_LINE);
 Delay_ms( 1000 );
}

Other mikroE Libraries used in the example:

  • UART Library
  • Conversions Library
  • C_String Library
  • I2C Library

Additional notes and information

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART click,  USB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.

LED Driver 12 Click

0

LED Driver 12 Click is a compact add-on board that simplifies the control of multiple LEDs. This board features the PCA9532, a 16-bit I2C-configurable I/O expander optimized for dimming LEDs in 256 discrete Red/Green/Blue (RGB) steps from NXP Semiconductors. The PCA9532 offers high efficiency, supporting up to 16 LED channels and delivering a maximum of up to 25mA of LED current per channel. It contains an internal oscillator with two user-programmable blink rates and duty cycles coupled to the output PWM. Any bits not used for controlling the LEDs can be used for GPIO expansion, which provides a simple solution when additional I/O is needed for some sensors, push-buttons, or alarm monitoring. This Click board™ is suitable for color mixing and backlight application for amusement products, LED status signalization, home automation projects, and many more.

NFC Tag 5 Click is a compact add-on board that contains a compact NFC tag IC. This board features the M24LR64E-R, a dynamic NFC/RFID tag IC with a dual interface 64-Kbit EEPROM from STMicroelectronics. It features an I2C interface alongside an RF contactless interface operating at 13.56MHz, organized as 8192×8 bits in the I2C mode and 2048×32 bits in the ISO 15693 and ISO 18000-3 mode 1 RF mode. The M24LR64E-R also features an energy harvesting analog output and a user-configurable digital output pin, used as an interrupt, toggling during either RF write in progress or RF busy mode.
