Library Description

Library contains functions for reading voltage.

Key functions:

  • void rng_write_data ( uint8_t reg_addr, uint16_t reg_data ); - Generic funcion for writing.
  • void rng_set_config ( uint16_t conf_data ); - Function used for set configuration.
  • float rng_get_voltage ( ); - Function used for get voltage.

Examples description

The application is composed of three sections :

  • System Initialization - Initializes i2c module
  • Application Initialization - Initializes driver, set configuration and voltage reference.
  • Application Task - (code snippet) - Measures voltage every seconds.
void application_task ( )
{
    char demoText[ 50 ];
    float voltage;

    voltage = rng_get_voltage();

    mikrobus_logWrite( " ~~~> Voltage value: ", _LOG_TEXT );
    FloatToStr( voltage , demoText );
    mikrobus_logWrite( demoText, _LOG_TEXT );
    mikrobus_logWrite( " mV  ", _LOG_LINE );

    mikrobus_logWrite("_______________________________", _LOG_LINE );
    mikrobus_logWrite(" ", _LOG_LINE );
    Delay_ms( 1000 );
}

Other mikroE Libraries used in the example:

  • Conversions
  • I2C
  • UART

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.

FRAM 5 Click is a compact add-on board representing a highly reliable ferroelectric random access memory solution. This board features the FM24V10, a 1Mbit nonvolatile memory employing an advanced ferroelectric process organized as 128K words of 8 bits each from Infineon. This I2C configurable FRAM performs read and write operations similar to a RAM providing reliable data retention for 151 years while eliminating the complexities, overhead, and system-level reliability problems caused by EEPROM and other nonvolatile memories.

Grid-EYE 2 Click is a compact add-on board designed for thermal imaging and motion detection applications. This board features the AMG883543, an infrared array sensor from Panasonic with a 90° viewing angle and an 8x8 pixel matrix that measures temperatures from 0°C to 80°C with a resolution of 0.25°C. The sensor can detect objects up to 5 meters away and outputs temperature data via a digital interface. The board also supports the Click Snap feature, allowing the main sensor area to be detached for flexible positioning.

BATT-MON 4 Click

0

BATT-MON 4 Click is a compact add-on board representing an advanced battery monitoring solution. This board features the LTC3337, a primary battery state of health (SOH) monitor with a built-in precision coulomb counter from Analog Devices. The LTC3337 is designed to be placed in series with a primary battery with minimal associated series voltage drop. The patented infinite dynamic range coulomb counter tallies all accumulated battery discharge and stores it in an internal register accessible via an I2C interface. In addition, this Click board™ also can set the input current limit and has an additional discharge alarm interrupt and SOH monitoring which measures and reports via an I2C interface.
