Library Description

Key functions:

  • float irthrm3v3_getTambient() - Returns ambient temperature value in Celsius.
  • float irthrm3v3_getTobject() - Returns object temperature value in Celsius.

Examples Description

The application is composed of three sections:

  • System Initialization - Initialization of the I2C and UART modules.
  • Application Initialization - Initialization of the IrThermo 3V3 Driver
  • Application Task - Reading Ambient Temperature and displaying the value periodically.
void applicationTask()
{

 measuredTemperature = irthrm3v3_getTambient();
 FloatToStr(measuredTemperature,text);
 mikrobus_logWrite("Ambient Temperature: ",_LOG_TEXT);
 mikrobus_logWrite(text,_LOG_LINE);
 Delay_ms(1000);
}

Other mikroE Libraries used in the example:

  • I2C
  • UART
  • Conversions

Additional notes and information

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART click,  USB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.

Rotary O click

5

Rotary O click carries a 15-pulse incremental rotary encoder with detents, surrounded by a ring of 16 LEDs. It’s a perfect solution for adding a precision input knob to your design. The encoder outputs A and B signals (out of phase to each other); the knob also acts as a push-button which sends an interrupt to the target board MCU.

AC Current click

6

AC Current click can measure alternating currents up to 30A and it features the MCP3201 ADC (analog to digital) converter and the MCP607 CMOS Op Amp, both from Microchip. The click is designed to run on either 3.3V or 5V power supply. It communicates with the target MCU over an SPI interface, and the AN pin on the mikroBUS line.

Spectrometer click

5

Spectrometer Click features an 11-channel spectrometer for spectral identification and color matching applications. The spectral response is defined in the wavelengths from approximately 350nm to 1000nm. Control and Spectral data access are implemented through a serial I²C interface with very a low power consumption.
