Touchkey click has four capacitive pads powered by TTP224, a touchpad detector IC. Capacitive buttons like these can be toggled even when placed under a layer of glass or paper.
The example demonstrates the usage of TouchKey Click

Library Description

The library covers all the necessary functions to control TouchKey click board. TouchKey click
communicates with the target board through the AN, RST, PWM and INT line. This library
offers functions for detecting the states of any and every of the four keys on this click board.

Key functions:

  • uint8_t touchkey_A(); - Function gets state of RST pin on TouchKey Click board.
  • uint8_t touchkey_B();- Function gets state of AN pin on TouchKey Click board.
  • uint8_t touchkey_C(); - Function gets state of INT pin on TouchKey Click board.
  • uint8_t touchkey_D(); - Function gets state of INT pin on TouchKey Click board.

Examples description

The application is composed of three sections:

  • System Initialization - Initializes GPIO and LOG structures, sets AN, RST, PWM and INT pins as input.
  • Application Initialization -  Initialization driver enables GPIO and also starts write log.
  • Application Task - (code snippet) This example demonstrates the use of TouchKey Click board.
         Detects whether any of the keys is pressed. Results are being sent to the Usart Terminal,
         where you can track changes.
void applicationTask()
{
    keyState = touchkey_A() | touchkey_B() | touchkey_C() | touchkey_D();

    if( keyState == 1 && keyStateOld == 0  )
    {
    mikrobus_logWrite( "Pressed : ", _LOG_TEXT );

        if( touchkey_A() )
        {
            mikrobus_logWrite( "A ", _LOG_TEXT );
        }

        if( touchkey_B() )
        {
            mikrobus_logWrite( "B ", _LOG_TEXT );
        }

        if( touchkey_C() )
        {
            mikrobus_logWrite( "C ", _LOG_TEXT );
        }

        if( touchkey_D() )
        {
            mikrobus_logWrite( "D ", _LOG_TEXT );
        }

    mikrobus_logWrite( "", _LOG_LINE );
    keyStateOld = 1;
    }
    if ( keyState == 0 && keyStateOld == 1 )
    {
        keyStateOld = 0;
    }
}

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message

  • uint8_t touchkey_C(); - Function gets state of INT pin on TouchKey Click board.

ROTARY O click

0

Rotary click carries a 15-pulse incremental rotary encoder with detents, surrounded by a ring of 16 orange LEDs. It’s a perfect solution for adding a precision input knob to your design. The encoder outputs A and B signals (out of phase to each other); the knob also acts as a push-button which sends an interrupt to the target board MCU. The LED ring is controlled through SPI lines (CS, SCK, MISO, MOSI). Rotary click can be used with either a 3.3V or 5V power supply.

Step Down 2 click

0

The Step Down 2 click is a Click board™ equipped with the L6986HTR, a synchronous step-down switching regulator with operating input voltages from 4V to 38V and output voltage adjustability ranges from 0.85 V to VIN. Because of the main possibilities its features offer, the Step Down 2 click is ideally used for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), decentralized intelligent nodes, sensors, and low noise applications (LNM).
