Library Description

The library covers all the necessary functions to control BT Audio Click board.

Key functions:

  • void btaudio_uartWrite( uint8_t *txData ) - UART write data function.
  • BTAUDIO_STATUS_T btaudio_increaseVolume() - Increase volume function.
  • BTAUDIO_STATUS_T btaudio_nextTrack() - Play next track function.

Examples description

The application is composed of the three sections :

  • System Initialization - Initializes UART and LOG structures sets INT pin as input and RST, CS and PWM pins as output enable interrupts routine and start to write log.
  • Application Initialization - Initialization driver enables - UART, sets Power On, set command mode, set data mode, factory reset, also write log.
  • Application Task - This is an example which demonstrates the use of BT Audio click board. Waits for valid user input and executes functions based on a set of valid commands. Results are being sent to the Usart Terminal where you can track their changes.
  • Commands :
    '+' - volume up
    '-' - volume down
    '>' - next track
    '<' - previous track
    '*' - play/pause track
void applicationTask()
{
    char receivedData;

    if ( UART_Rdy_Ptr() )
    {
        receivedData = UART_Rd_Ptr();

        switch ( receivedData )
        {
            case '+' :
            {
                btaudio_increaseVolume();
                mikrobus_logWrite( "    - Volume Up -", _LOG_LINE );
                break;
            }
            case '-' :
            {
                btaudio_decreaseVolume();
                mikrobus_logWrite( "   - Volume Down -", _LOG_LINE );
                break;
            }
            case '>' :
            {
                btaudio_nextTrack();
                mikrobus_logWrite( "--------------------", _LOG_LINE );
                mikrobus_logWrite( "     Next Track     ", _LOG_LINE );
                mikrobus_logWrite( "--------------------", _LOG_LINE );
                break;
            }
            case '<' :
            {
                btaudio_previousTrack();
                mikrobus_logWrite( "--------------------", _LOG_LINE );
                mikrobus_logWrite( "   Previous Track   ", _LOG_LINE );
                mikrobus_logWrite( "--------------------", _LOG_LINE );
                break;
            }
            case '*' :
            {
                btaudio_pausePlayTrack();
                mikrobus_logWrite( "--------------------", _LOG_LINE );
                mikrobus_logWrite( "  Play/Pause Track  ", _LOG_LINE );
                mikrobus_logWrite( "--------------------", _LOG_LINE );
                break;
            }

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART clickUSB UART 2 click or RS232 click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all MikroElektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.
