This board features the PCF8591, a low-power 8-bit CMOS data acquisition device with four analog inputs, one analog output, and a serial I2C interface from NXP Semiconductors. The PCF8591 includes analog input multiplexing, an on-chip track and hold function and 8-bit analog-to-digital conversion alongside an 8-bit digital-to-analog conversion. This board features the MMC5633NJL, a monolithic complete 3-axis AMR magnetic sensor with on-chip signal processing and an integrated digital bus from MEMSIC. It can measure magnetic fields within the full-scale range of ±30 Gauss (G) with up to 0.0625mG per LSB resolution at 20bits operation mode and 2mG total RMS noise level, enabling heading accuracy of ±1º in electronic compass applications. Also, an integrated SET/RESET function eliminates thermal variation-induced offset error (Null field output) and clears the residual magnetization resulting from powerful external fields.

This board features the RV-3032-C7, an I2C-configurable real-time clock module that incorporates an integrated CMOS circuit and an XTAL from Micro Crystal AG. The RV-3032-C7 is a temperature compensated RTC with premium accuracy (0.22 sec/day) and extremely low power consumption, allowing it to be used with a single button cell battery for an extended period. It can measure temperature with a typical accuracy of ±1°C and a resolution of 0.0625°C/step with a programmable alarm on top and bottom temperature limits.
